Our Epic Foolishness

My reaction to this article is that I honestly think that the world has too many problems that will take some time to solve. The economy is going wrong and for a while, people been saying "It's a recession". People with higher incomes are paying more taxes. The wars are just unexplainable.I feel that sometimes all Obama do is promise things. The oil situation is out of control and the government needs to work harder. Americans should participate in clean energy stratagies. Schools need to take advantage of the fact that there's textbooks to read out of. Students education should be the best or close to it. Like I said, it takes time but the government can still start now to make a change.

1. Have weekly assemblies

3. Invite people to the school

This quote came from Martin Luther King Jr. This quote has an impact because it could give someone confidence. It could also mean that your life haven't really started or isn't so important unless you changed the world or did something crucial. This quote has an impact because it is saying that that a person cannot truly live by simply taking into account his/her own worries and concerns. Only when an individual thinks of the values and issues of others and all of society do they appreciate life and therefore "start living" as a good person.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world".

To me, this quote means that if you don't like something in the world that you would like to change, then you should. You shouldn't change something that other people say that you should. You should make changes because you want to and make changes and things that you are mostly concerned with. Also, this quote could mean that if you want change in the world or something particular in the world, you should take part of it. To change the world, you don't have to do anything big or you don't have to copy off of others because that's what most people are doing to make a difference. To make changes, its what you mostly wants to change and something you are really urging to change. That's what I think this quote means to me.

Do Now for 3/16, No child left behind

When Obama said that he would reward schools that achieve excellence or shows progress, that would give schools a heads up on doing better. I feel that he should've been did something. He wants to do something about low acheiving schools and wants to change the strategies of teaching.

Haiti's reaction

While watching the video that was based on Haiti, I found it to be very sad and upseting. Many doctors were helping and alot of people were hurt and many bodies were getting carried away. Doctors were giving many haitians medicine and were wrapping up their wounds or their broken arms, legs, etc. What was surprising was the fact that a man was stuck under a building for 11 days until he was found. For Haiti, many concerts/programs are being held and the government are focusing on rebuilding haiti but it will take time.
